On the 27th October 2020, CADDE Principal Investigator, Dr Ester Cerdeira Sabino and CADDE Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr Jaqueline Goes De Jesus, were named personalities of the year by the British Chamber of Commerce. The Board and the Executive Committees of Britcham elected them both to be honoured and recognised as the “Personalities of the Year 2020” for the excellent work developed in the process of sequencing the genome of the new coronavirus.
A virtual celebration will be held on 9th December 2020 at 18h00 BRT to honour the Brazilian scientists who played an important role in sequencing the genome of the new coronavirus.
