    A team of health professionals is trained to work in Genomic Surveillance in the State

    A Genomic Surveillance area of the State Health Surveillance Center (CEVS) was developed which involved training 15 professionals, coordinated by CADDE Principal Investigator, Dr Ester Sabino due to pioneering sequencing of COVID-19 earlier this year. The group developed projects using the MinION from Oxford Nanopore for genetic sequencing, and were trained by members of the Institute of Tropical Medicine and USP biologists, Pâmela dos Santos Andrade and Thais de Moura Coletti.
